Dr Andrea Somogyi, the specialist providing your online consultation

Online Dental Consultation

With Dr Andrea Somogyi, clinical lead · 15–20 minutes · Google Meet

Not sure which treatment you need, or whether to travel for care? Discuss your goals and existing records with our clinical lead. Where the information allows, receive preliminary treatment options, indicative costs, timing and guidance on visits. The fee is 15,000 HUF and includes a preliminary written summary after the consultation.

Consult your clinical lead

Dr Andrea Somogyi is a specialist in prosthodontics, a university lecturer and a clinician with expertise in gnathology.

Timing, cost and travel

Relevant records support more specific guidance about possible treatment, duration and indicative costs.

A written point of reference

Afterwards, receive a preliminary email summary of the options discussed and the proposed next step.

When an online dental consultation can help

You may live outside Hungary, be unsure whether to travel for treatment, or have received a proposal that raises more questions than it answers. You might want to improve your smile without knowing whether veneers, crowns, implants or another approach is appropriate.

The conversation is designed for planned restorative, implant-related and aesthetic treatment questions. It helps organise your priorities and identify the next useful step. It is not an emergency service or a substitute for prompt local care when urgent dental attention is needed.

Understand your options and what to prepare for

You do not need to decide on veneers, crowns, implants or orthodontics first. Dr Andrea Somogyi starts with your goals and records, explains possible options and their conditions, and identifies what still needs an in-person assessment.

Where sufficient information is available, discuss an individual indicative cost range, overall treatment duration, clinic time and possible stages of travel. This gives you a practical basis for deciding whether to arrange an in-person assessment.

Appearance is considered alongside bite and chewing function. Functional concerns can be discussed online; an actual examination of the bite and jaw requires an in-person visit.

Dr Andrea Somogyi, specialist in prosthodontics and clinical lead at Dentist For You

Dr Andrea Somogyi, the clinical lead at Dentist For You, brings together the appearance of your smile, restorative planning and the way your teeth and jaw function. She also personally conducts the online consultations.

The discussion starts with your goals and clinical situation. Where several treatments are involved, the relevant clinicians work as a team, with a coordinated sequence of care.

More useful records can support more specific guidance

A description alone gives a different starting point from clear photographs and relevant imaging. The table explains the difference. Relevance, quality, date and the complexity of your case all matter.

An examination may reveal dental, gum or bite findings that were not apparent remotely and change the initial estimate. The preliminary guidance is refined following the in-person assessment.

What to send before your appointment

Start with your main concern and the three questions you most want answered. Reception will explain the agreed channel for sending any documents.

Describe your concern, the change you want, any important previous treatment and your main questions. Mention travel dates, timing or budget constraints that affect your decision.

If you have a panoramic X-ray or CBCT reflecting your current condition, preferably taken within the last six months, send it with any available report. Tell us the date of older records too; the clinician decides whether they are useful for your question. Do not arrange a new CT solely for the video consultation.

Reception will agree how to share your documents and larger imaging files. To confirm the appointment we ask for your full name, telephone number and address. Do not share health records in public comments or on social media.

A simple guide to useful photographs

A few clear phone photographs can help. If possible, ask someone to take them rather than taking selfies. Use good light and avoid filters or edits that change tooth colour. The examples below show useful views.

These are photography examples from our patient information guide, not before-and-after treatment results. Only take views that are comfortable; do not force mouth opening or pull your lip painfully.

Face the camera and smile naturally so that your teeth and lips are visible together. Keep the area around your mouth in the frame.

Side view, mouth slightly open

Take a clear side view with your mouth slightly open. If the concern affects both sides, show both where possible.

The back area you are concerned about

For a concern at the back, gently move the lip aside to show the area. Only do this if it is comfortable.

A dental second opinion: understand the proposal

A useful second opinion begins with understanding the problem a plan is trying to solve. Two proposals may have different totals because they involve different teeth, materials, provisional stages or assumptions. We help you identify those differences and the questions they raise.

The aim is an informed decision, not a judgement about another clinic from a price alone. Some questions can be clarified online; others need an examination or further records. A complex plan may need more investigation than one short conversation.

Costs, timing and travelling to Budapest

Where your records allow, we distinguish between the indicative treatment cost, number of clinic visits, overall treatment duration and the days you may need to spend in Budapest. The detail of that guidance depends on the information available.

You should understand the scale of the possible commitment before arranging travel. Where possible, we discuss the main cost components and which findings could change them. A price per crown or implant is not the same as the total cost of an individual treatment plan. Our price list provides reference items.

We also distinguish the number of visits, the time spent in the clinic and the overall treatment period. Preparation, healing and laboratory stages can require separate appointments or trips. An online conversation can help plan the next personal visit; it cannot guarantee a complete course of treatment in one stay.

From first contact to your written summary

If you are travelling specifically for a larger implant or prosthodontic treatment, the clinic uses an initial online consultation to coordinate the next stage before reserving the treatment appointments. The necessary personal assessment and any healing intervals still apply.

At the clinic, the Medit i900 scanner, MODJAW jaw-movement analysis and Rapid Shape ONE printing workflow can support relevant stages of digital planning. The clinician selects the appropriate records and tools for your case. These are in-person facilities, not tests included in the video call.

It can help focus the main questions and identify a direction, especially with relevant information prepared in advance. It does not promise an exhaustive assessment of every tooth or every item in a complex proposal.

Yes. Explain this when contacting reception and share the existing proposal through the agreed channel. The conversation can clarify its aims and alternatives without committing you to treatment at Dentist For You.

Yes. A preliminary written summary is sent by email after the consultation. It reflects the discussion and next steps; it is not a substitute for a definitive treatment plan based on the required examination.

No. It is a way to become better informed before the personal assessment and, where relevant, before travelling. Clinical examination and any indicated diagnostics are still needed for definitive planning.

For larger restorative or implant treatment when travelling specifically from abroad, we begin with an online consultation. Longer treatment appointments generally require a 20,000–50,000 HUF deposit depending on the reserved time, credited towards treatment when you attend. The specific amount and the separate cancellation conditions for in-person treatment are provided in writing. This deposit is separate from the 15,000 HUF online consultation fee.
